Are you saying the teaching you find in the catechism is not taught in your parish? That they teach Catholicism as one religion among many? Some do that. It does not change the facts. We are still called to believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church even if our priest does not. It does not depend on him. <br /><br />I have heard stories from the 70's and 80's where people wanted to convert to the catholic faith and the local priest told them not to. He told them to be the best Calvinist or Baptist they could be. Strange but true.
